Contract Genital Herpes
The common way to contract genital herpes is sexual transmission, with no cure available although cryosurgery is possible for treating the HPV genital wart viruses.
HSV can be transmitted even when there are no visible symptoms or lesions. Direct contact with an infected site during sexual intercourse or oral-to-genitals are the primary mode of transmission for HSV. HSV-1 and HSV-2 is most contagious during viral active phase whereby either the virus is asymptomatically shedding or during outbreaks where viral replications are uncontrolled triggering lesions, pustules, or vesicles.
