Genital Herpes Simplex
Genital herpes simplex can be confused with symptoms of lichen sclerosus or a vaginal wart virus.
Symptoms may range from none to several phases beginning with fever, malaise, muscle aches, irritability, lack of appetite, and glandular swelling lingering from 3-12 days. Progressive outbreaks may generate lesions, including vesicles, pustules, and ulcers. No cure exists, however, antiviral medications can be used to treat symptoms and suppress outbreaks.

Lichen Sclerosus, Vaginal Wart
There are two types of herpetic viruses, HSV-1 and HSV-2; HSV-1 is commonly associated with oral outbreaks and HSV-2 with sexual reproductive organs. However, either virus may be detected anywhere. Contact with active sores or asymptomatic patients who are shedding the virus can result in infection in the reproductive areas.
